Today marks 3 weeks to the wedding. 3 WEEKS! Things are starting to come together, today Adam and I finally finalized our honeymoon plans, my ring has been taken in to be soldered, and our decorations are coming along. For our honeymoon, we are going to Mackinac Island for four days and plan to hang out at our hotel where we can spend time on the beach, in two different pools, on their 11 acres of secluded land, or around a fire pit where you can roast marshmallows every night. We also will go to the Island for two days and bike around, fly kits, eat fudge, hike, and have a fancy evening in the Grand Hotel. For the second half of the honeymoon we will be going to Door County!
The upcoming trip finally seemed real only a few days ago. I went online to check the hotel we are staying at while we visit Mackinac Island and was browsing through pictures of the hotel, when I came across a picture of their continental breakfast room. For those of you who don't know me well, I love continental breakfast!! When I was a kid, my family on my dad's side stayed in hotels a lot, and because of those experiences as a child, staying in hotels for fun is one of my favorite things. Seriously. I'm not joking, I love hotels. One of my favorite things about staying in a hotel is eating continental breakfast in the morning ( my other favorite thing is swimming in pools at hotels so that's why it's so exciting that this hotel has two pools haha) SO, when I looked at the continental breakfast room I realized, I get to go on vacation with just Adam!! And we'll be married!! That was the moment the honeymoon felt real. I get to spend a whole week doing fun things with my best friend, it really doesn't get any better than that!
