November is a month in which I am practicing contentment. I am reminding myself to be grateful for what I have, to be content in who I am in Christ, and to appreciate the small gifts. A few days ago Adam and I were eating dinner and we realized that our lives are very different than most college students. We were sitting at the dinner table, eating Thyme and Basil salmon, sweet potatoes and garlic parmesan green beans while listening to jazz music. So just to be funny and continue the "classy" feel of dinner we drank sparkling lemon water out of our wine glasses. But as we were sitting there, we realized our lives do look a lot different from the lives of most college students, and we were more than content with that. I couldn't be happier to be living with a loving husband, going to school, and leading at youth group as he does the pastoral intern. I love sharing life with him. I'm learning to be content with who I am in Christ as I step into my God-created identity. Last night, I was able to do the message for the middle school youth group and I'm preparing to do the massage at the high school youth group in a couple weeks. Doing this is only confirming in me that I am called to public speaking. I felt
